About Modmarket

We had trouble finding a good place to eat at everyday, so we made up one for ourselves.

Hello.  My name’s Anthony.  My friend Rob and I would like to tell you about our company, Modmarket.

We started Modmarket because we wanted food that:

▪  tasted great

▪  was made from scratch

▪  was made from from simple, farm fresh, whole ingredients

▪  was fairly quick

▪  was not too expensive

▪  you could eat everyday and not worry about it making you fat or giving you some random health problem down the line

Reading this list, you would think this described most restaurants, but in our experience, it does not.  Outside of a few exceptions like Chipotle or the Whole Foods salad bar, we really had a hard time finding places we wanted to eat at on a regular basis.  We felt like the food industry had not evolved along with its customers.  30 years ago, it made sense to only sell burgers and fries at fast food restaurants.  People still cooked a lot at home and dining out was a treat.  Now, I think the modern lifestyle is one where eating out is a necessity rather than just a treat.  And when the only options are unhealthy and highly processed it can be very frustrating.  So, being the type of folks who like to solve problems rather than complain about them, we built a restaurant which we felt suited a more modern lifestyle, which really was our own.  We eat at Modmarket almost every single day, not just because it is our company, but because it fits within the framework of our lives.  We are busy, active and care about our health.  We no longer feel guilty about not eating a home cooked meal because eating at Modmarket is exactly like doing that.  Over time, we hope to grow and expand our concept so that people in any part of the country have access to the type of foods we serve at Modmarket.  We believe that great food is an integral part of living a great life and we are very happy to be serving that to lots of people everyday.
